Kolkata: Hyderabad FC brushed aside Mohammedan SC 4-0 at the Kishore Bharati Stadium on Saturday, notching up their first win and handing the hosts their third successive loss in their debut season of ISL.
Hyderabad got off to a dream start, racing to a 3-0 lead inside the opening 15 minutes thanks to a brace from Allan Paulista (4, 15) and Stefan Sapic (12). Parag Shrivas (52) then sealed their maiden three-pointer in ISL-11 and condemned Mohammedan SC to their hat-trick of defeats. Another defensive horror saw Andrey Chernyshov’s debutants lose their third game at home.
Barely had Mohammedan Sporting settled into the game when their usual defensive frailty came to the fore. Parag’s throw-in created confusion in the home team’s box and goalkeeper Padam Chhetri made a mess of Florent Ogier back-pass, miscuing his shot and allowing Allan to pounce on the opportunity and push it into an open net.
Mohammedan SC never managed to overcome from that early setback and lost their plot and the match.
