  • The India Meteorological Department has forecast a slight temperature dip in West Bengal over the next two days. While South Bengal is expected to remain dry, North Bengal may experience scattered rainfall.

“In the next two days, the temperature will drop by a degree or two in districts of West Bengal,” the IMD office in Alipore said in a statement

Some parts of North Dinajpur district may receive light rain on Sunday. Hill districts like Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong, and Alipurduar are likely to see scattered light rain till November 6. Scattered rain is forecast for November 6 in Cooch Behar and other North Bengal districts.

Temperatures in both North and South Bengal are expected to decrease by 2-3 degrees Celsius.

Kolkata is likely to experience relatively cold conditions, with a noticeable temperature drop. The minimum temperature is currently 24.2 degrees Celsius (2 degrees above normal) and the maximum temperature is 31.6 degrees Celsius (0.5 degrees above normal).

As the monsoon season winds down, West Bengal is gearing up for a transition to cooler weather. While the plains will remain predominantly dry, the hilly regions of North Bengal may experience occasional showers.
