123 Kolkata: A 40-year-old rickshaw puller from Atghara in Rajarhat, Nur Ali, returned five signed cheques worth Rs 15 lakh to the cops.
The police later returned those to their rightful owner on Monday.
Ali told the police that he had found the cheques on the road outside a hotel in Chinar Park.
The cheques belonged to a shoe manufacturer, Akash Das, who lost those while riding a bike to Salt Lake. Ali submitted the cheques to officers of Baguiati police station. tnn
