Kolkata: An internal committee investigating into the complaints of corruption in the central lab at Medical College Hospital, Kolkata (MCH), has given a clean chit to Sudipto Roy, former Rogi Kalyan Samity chairperson, and pathology technician Jayanta Ghosh. Both Roy and Ghosh were named in the complaint lodged by the Medical College Students Union (MCSU) in Sept.

The association demanded an inquiry and stringent action against those involved in the irregularities.
Roy, who is also the Trinamool MLA from Serampore, was the RKS chairman at MCH until the state govt decided to remove all politicians from the Rogi Kalyan Samitis in all govt hospitals during the RG Kar protest.
"The inquiry committee found no concrete evidence to prove the charges," said a MCH official.
