CBI arrests former minister Partha Chatterjee's close aide Santu Ganguly in Bengal school jobs scam case

NEW DELHI: The CBI arrested Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Santu Ganguly, a close aide of former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee, in connection with the alleged school jobs scam.
Ganguly, a TMC leader from Behala, was taken into custody on Monday evening after prolonged questioning by CBI officers at the agency's city office.
According to an official, the CBI has gathered evidence linking Ganguly to the scam, including proof of his involvement in monetary transactions.
During previous searches at his Behala residence, the agency seized several bank-related documents relevant to the case.
Ganguly, who has been closely associated with Partha Chatterjee, reportedly remained uncooperative during his interrogation. The CBI stated that his arrest was necessary to further the investigation.
The Enforcement Directorate had also questioned Ganguly and conducted searches at his residence as part of the ongoing probe into the scandal.
