Guv to administer oath to 6 TMC MLAs in assembly on Mon

Kolkata: Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has conveyed to speaker Biman Banerjee that he would come to the assembly on Monday for the swearing-in of the six newly elected Trinamool MLAs. Banerjee said arrangements were being made for the programme.
The MLAs were elected on Nov 23, and Bose would administer the oath on Dec 2. It remained unclear if CM Mamata Banerjee would be present for the event.
Earlier, on two occasions there was an impasse after Bose refused to come to the House for the swearing-in of MLAs who won in the bypolls. Speaker Banerjee administered the oath to Sayantika Banerjee and Reyat Hossain Sarkar, which Bose criticised as constitutional impropriety.
The latest move by the governor also hinted at a new equation with state govt from the earlier faceoffs between Nabanna and Raj Bhavan. Recently, CM Banerjee sent Bose sweets and greetings after he completed two years in office.
