Malda: A worker from Malda was allegedly beaten to death by his co-workers in Jaipur. The news reached the family in Kaliachak on Sunday evening.
Karim Sk (29) of Kadamtala village in Kaliachak went to Rajasthan for construction work about a month ago.
On Saturday, he had a tiff with one Tasikur Rehman over money, following which he was brutally assaulted. A wounded Karim was admitted to hospital by his co-workers, but he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
A pall of gloom descended on the village with news of Karim's death. Nurjahan Biwi, the victim's wife, claimed her husband had called her from hospital and said that he was hit on the head.
