The duo was previously ousted for allegedly promoting a culture of intimidation and corruption in the medical colleges amid the protest over the rape and murder of a junior doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital.
West Bengal Medical Council president Sudipta Roy and vice-president Sushant Roy said the two were rightly ordered to stay away from the council’s work. “Since no written complaint was filed against them and their names were not mentioned in the CBI chargesheet, the decision was withdrawn,” they said.
