123 Kolkata: The intelligence agencies have asked all security and law-enforcing agencies to be on the lookout for two members of the banned Islamic militant organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir, Sabbir Amir and Ridwan Maruf. The duo had entered Bengal with valid documents on May 30.
The two had attended seminars during their stay in Bengal. Intelligence officials are now sifting through information on the topics that were discussed at these gatherings and people they had come in contact with. One of the youths the two had met had revealed that he took the two men to his uncle's village in Dhulian.
He claimed he had got acquainted with the duo on social media. After finding Ridwan and Sabbir's links with Hizb ut-Tahrir, the sleuths suspect that the banned outfit is trying to expand presence in these regions.
