‘JU mass comm papers should be re-checked by external examiner’

Kolkata: All the journalism and mass communication PG semester and internal exam answer scripts of the 2023-25 batch at Jadavpur University, taught by assistant professor Abhishek Das and professor Santwan Chattopadhyay, should be re-evaluated by an external examiner, resolved JU exam board on Friday. But as the board does not have the power to decide on this matter, it has been referred to the executive council, the highest decision-making body at JU. The board resolved that the semester answer scripts of the 2022-24 batch, taught by Das and Chattopadhyay, should also be re-evaluated by an external examiner.
Journalism and mass comm HoD Partha Sarathi Chakraborty, said, "The exam board has referred the matter to the EC for a final decision."
