Kolkata: The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) is set to engage agencies on yearly contracts for the annual repair, upkeep, and maintenance of several flyovers and bridges located across the city. Some of these flyovers are Dhakuria Bridge, Bijan Setu, Karunamoyee Bridge, Ultadanga flyover, Aurobindo Setu, among others.
KMDA recently conducted carriageway repair work on Durgapur BridgeCarriageway repair work on Samprity Flyover, which connects Jinjira Bazar to Batanagar, is also ongoing. The flyover stretch is being kept closed every night from 10pm to 6am . The authorities are also planning to replace the damaged rubber seals in the expansion joints of Maa Flyover. tnn
