Kolkata: Presidency University on Monday signed an MoU with Sapienza University of Rome, which was founded in 1303 and is regarded as one of the world's oldest universities.
The signing of the MoU between these two heritage institutes aim to excel in pure and applied sciences and arts.
Consul general of Italy Riccardo Dalla Costa was present on the occasion. Presidency VC Nirmalya Narayan Chakraborty said, "It is indeed a great opportunity for the entire faculty of humanities and social sciences to explore the possibilities of research from one of the oldest institutes, whose academic goals are aligned with ours." Sanjukta DasGupta of Sapienza University said, "There will be scientific and educational cooperation in several fields."
