Kashmiri terrorist Javed Munshi arrest: Shawl seller in Kolkata quizzed

Kolkata: Sleuths from Canning police station and Special Task Force (STF) of Bengal Police have turned their focus on a shawl-seller, Ghulam Mohammad, and his family following the arrest of an alleged Kashmiri terrorist Javed Munshi from Canning last Sunday. Mohammad, who is the brother-in-law of Javed Munshi, was quizzed for about an hour by the sleuths on Wednesday evening and later released. On Thursday, Mohammad's family members were questioned again.
Sources said Ghulam was asked about the purpose of Javed's visit to Canning. The shawl seller claimed he was unaware of Javed's alleged involvement in militant activities. Sources said cops could summon Ghulam again. Javed, claimed cops, came to the state under the orders of Lashkar-e-Taiba, to gather information about crossing the Bangladesh border. tnn
