Max temp dips below normal, Met predicts min dip today

Kolkata: While the minimum temperature in Kolkata stayed above normal on Wednesday, the maximum temperature slipped over three notches from that of Tuesday. The Met office predicted a drop in the minimum temperature from Thursday.
A steady inflow of cold northwesterly wind made the day colder when the maximum temperature in Kolkata dipped below below normal to 22.2°C, slipping from Tuesday's 25.5°C. The minimum temperature at 16°C, however, was 2.1 notches above normal. While the day temperature is likely to remain around the same mark, the Met office predicted the minimum temperature may slip by around three notches on Thursday.
