  • Kolkata: Several pieces of photographic equipment —a mirrorless camera, lens, drone—a laptop, ATM cards, passports and crucial documents, together worth around Rs 30 lakh, were stolen from a guesthouse in Bihar, where wedding photographer Sujay Das, along with colleagues Debjit Nandy and Samir Jana, was staying for a pre-wedding shoot. The place is 5 km from Patna.

The photographers lodged a complaint at the Phulwari Sharif PS. CCTV footage showed an associate of the very person who had invited them for the shoot had committed the theft.

Das said they were at an eatery about 100m away. "The accused opened our room with a key, stole the valuables and locked the door before leaving," he said. tnn
