Sources said, Priyam Das, who was admitted to RG Kar Hospital, is now out of danger. Speaking with TOI, Srinjoy Roy, who sustained an injury to his right hand, said, "I'm feeling better today. I received several phone calls from my friends and relatives. Yesterday I was scared, but now I am eagerly waiting to go back to school. However, I'm praying for Priyam's speedy recovery."
Though Srinjoy was eagerly waiting to go back, his mother, Barnali Guha, wanted him to rest for a few more days. "I don't want to remember the scary incident. I'm still worried about his safety and security."
A section of parents stated that there were multiple issues in terms of safety, security, and hygiene. The school principal, Arijit Maitra, on Monday assured parents that whatever demands they have will be addressed soon. One parent said, "There was hardly any monitoring on the school premises. Rarely does the school conduct maintenance or repair work. These things need to be changed."
One member of the guardian's forum said, "We told the school to discuss matters related to safety, security, and hygiene. We hope the school will cooperate with us."
