  • GANGTOK: At least five people died after a car skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge in Gyalshing district of Sikkim, police said on Friday.

    The car carrying five passengers plunged into a ravine, falling 500 feet below Ratomatey Cliff.

    According to police reports, the incident happened while the vehicle was en route from Gyathang to Upper Chongrang.

    All the victims were identified as residents of Upper Arithang, located in the Yuksom-Tashiding constituency of West Sikkim.
