12 Kolkata: Happy Streets, a Times of India initiative, is back. Starting this Sunday, Happy Streets will take place across different parts of the city and beyond over the next few weeks.
The first edition of this year's Happy Streets, presented by Shyam Steel Industries Ltd and powered by PS Group and Manipal Hospitals, along with education partner Adamas Kids, is going to take place at the City Square ground in New Town this Sunday morning.
The next installment is scheduled on Jan 26 in Salt Lake in front of Central Park, followed by Lake Town clock tower service road on Feb 2, and at Howrah Fraser Road on Feb 9.
Like the previous instalments, Happy Streets will have several activities like cricket, badminton, football, basketball, volleyball, hula-hoop, tug of war, golf, dart game, skipping rope, hitting the target, snake ladder, and a kids' zone for the participants. Besides, there will be partnered activities like a cycle hobby group partnered by CNG Group, yoga and fitness by Mistic Yoga, karate by World JKF Goju-kai/Takuji-Kenbukan Association, roller skating by Fun on Wheels, and Zumba team (Siliguri) with Satish Routh.
Additionally, there will be a street art installation by Bappa Bhowmick, a musical performance by Namheen Band, and a blood donation camp by Project Life Force.
