Colleagues, friends call for protest near Sealdah court today

Kolkata: Friends and colleagues of the RG Kar PGT doctor said they would visit the Sealdah court on Friday, not to celebrate the verdict but to stage a protest as they believed the investigation was not complete and reiterated that Sanjay Roy was not the only perpetrator.
"We demanded speedy and complete justice. The crime could not have been committed by one person. Why has there been no supplementary charge sheet? We will assemble outside the court on Saturday to protest against the shoddy investigation," said Aniket Mahata of West Bengal Junior Doctors Front (WBJDF).
WBJDF, which spearheaded the movement, called for a gathering near the court's gate to protest against what they called "an effort by CBI and Kolkata Police to close the case" without a fair and thorough probe. "Justice will not be delivered by punishing Sanjay Roy alone. Unless we know the motive and all the culprits are caught and punished, we will keep asking questions," said Suchi Majumder, a nurse at RG Kar.
