Kolkata: Rabindra Bharati University on Wednesday held its executive council (EC) meeting on Wednesday despite receiving a higher education department letter the day before, asking them to cancel it.
The higher education council's nominee, Pradipta Mukherjee, submitted a note of discontent to the EC and walked out. Mukherjee told TOI, "I requested them not to hold the meeting, but they went ahead."
Interim VC Subhro Kamal Mukherjee said, "It's impossible to run the university without holding an EC meeting."
