123 Kolkata: In a fitting farewell to Wriddhiman Saha, Bengal thrashed Punjab by an innings and 13 runs in their final Ranji Trophy Elite Group ‘C' league match at the Eden Gardens here on Saturday.
Saha, who always put team laurels over individual feats, bid a goodbye to cricket on a winning note after playing for more than two decades. However, Bengal's seven points from this victory could not ensure them a spot in the knockouts as they could not finish among the top two of the group ending with 21 points.
