12 Kolkata: The annual function of Calcutta Public School Baguiati was organised on Dec 19 at Science City Auditorium. The students celebrated the theme of women empowerment with immense zeal by synchronising tradional vibes with modern ethos.
The programme began with a welcome dance, an ode to Lord Ganesha. Dhrubajyoti Chattopadhyay, vice chancellor of Sister Nivedita University, Shambhunath, former head of the department of Hindi, University of Calcutta and other eminent personalities were present on the occasion. In his welcome address, founder chairman Bhogendra Jha and secretary Vikash Jha spoke about the education system and the school's role in it.
The first phase of the program concluded with speeches by the guests, followed by a prize distribution ceremony and the vote of thanks by principal, Shrabani Ganguly.
