• HC: Issue all pending Madhyamik admit cards

  • 123 Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court on Thursday directed the West Bengal Madhyamik board to arrange for the issuance of admit cards to all enrolled students who are yet to receive them for the Madhyamik examination beginning on Feb 10. Justice Biswajit Basu instructed the Board to issue a public notice on Thursday and keep its portal accessible from 6 pm on Thursday to 2 pm on Friday.

    Justice Basu said that the headmasters of the schools could collect the admit cards for those who did not receive them from the Board office till Sunday, once the names of the schools are enrolled on the Board website. He also directed the schools in north Bengal to collect the admit cards from the Board office in north Bengal.

    After the HC order, the board issued a notice in the evening to inform that the enrolment portal was reopened and will be live till Friday 2 pm. This is for those students who did not receive their admit cards, giving them a final chance. The students who successfully passed test exams and have a minimum attendance of 70% in classes IX and X are eligible. Schools were asked to submit all required documents, including Rs 10,000 per candidate as per the HC order, Rs 5,000 as a late fine, and an enrolment fee of Rs 185.
