  • Kolkata: Two residents of Prince Gholam Md Shah Road, Abhishek Tewari (42) and Tista Sen (40), have been arrested for allegedly controlling 245 mule accounts, in which proceeds from cyber frauds, like digital arrest and online investment frauds, were managed and further distributed to other fraudsters.

"We found Rs 1.5 lakh was transferred from the victim's account in two branches. A network of mule accounts was operated by the accused," said an officer. Police have seized Rs 3 lakh, seven mobiles, 59 SIM cards, 31 ATM cards, nine PAN cards and a data sheet with credentials for 245 bank accounts. —Dwaipayan Ghosh
