State sanctions 4.3cr for road repairs in Salt Lake Sector III

Kolkata: After Salt Lake Sector I and II, the state govt has sanctioned Rs 4.3 crore to the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) for repair and upgradation of the roads in Sector III.
While Rs 34.4 lakh was approved for the ongoing financial year ending March 31, the remaining Rs 4 crore will be given in two equal halves during 2025-26 and 2026-27 fiscal. The stretches on both flanks from Stadium Gate No. 1 to Amul Island; Anindita Stop to Labony Island and in front of the fashion college, besides Beliaghata service road will be repaired along with other spots on priority basis. Residents blamed BMC of carrying out shoddy repairs. They have been complaining of poor roads for a long time.
