Kolkata: Sachin Singh, Narkeldanga's Trinamool councillor (ward 36), has reportedly been showcaused by his party. He was asked to explain himself within five days.
Bappaditya Dasgupta, the chief whip of Trinamool and Ward 101 councillor, said: "He must respond to the letter within the next five days. Once we receive his response, the party will decide its stance on him."
A few days ago, a fire broke out in a Narkeldanga slum, where a resident died. The locals had raised complaints against Singh. It brought to light the internal conflict within the party in the area. tnn
