Shantipur (Nadia): The father of a five-year-old girl was allegedly forced to clean the floor in a govt hospital where the unwell girl vomited. The health dept has ordered a probe. The incident happened at Shantipur State General Hospital in Nadia early on Friday. According to the complainant, Samir Shil, he and his wife rushed their daughter to the hospital as she suffered from bouts of loose stool and vomiting. They reached around 1 am. While a doctor on emergency duty was examining the girl, she vomited. Shil alleged that the doctor on duty, Tanmoy Sarkar, forced him to clean the floor.
Shil lodged a plaint with the super, Tarak Barman, who formed a three-member panel to probe it. — Ashis Podda
