Howrah: Three persons were arrested in Howrah for abducting a garments businessman from Rajasthan. Police are looking for one more accused who is currently absconding.
Officers at Nischinda PS received a call at 2.40 am on Saturday from a Phoolbagan resident, reporting the kidnapping. The accused demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh from the victim's business partner in Jaipur. The victim managed to share his live location once, which pointed to Ramchandrapur in the Bally area. Police later rescued the victim from a house in Hadikal at 3.25 am.
Cops said the victim arrived in Kolkata last Thursday. On Friday, what was to be a return trip, turned into an abduction plot. —Rupak Banerjee
