Kolkata: The state power department had started preparations for a seamless supply of electricity during the Higher Secondary exams, scheduled to start on March 3, said state power minister Aroop Biswas at a meeting on Tuesday. There will be power backup arrangements at several locations. The meeting was attended by power secretary Shantanu Bose, director of distribution (WBSEDCL) Sumit Mukherjee and director of project Partha Pratim Mukherjee. Biswas lauded the department for providing steady power supply to exam centres during Madhyamik. "The department's proactive measures reflect their commitment to public service," he said. tnn
