Kolkata: The parents of the RG Kar doctor, who was raped and murdered on the hospital campus on Aug 9, on Thursday met CBI director Praveen Sood in New Delhi to seek justice for their daughter. They have also sought appointment of President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"We have spoken to the CBI director and he has assured us that our daughter will get justice. We had never asked for a CBI probe. The court had handed over the investigation to the CBI," the father of the victim said after coming out of the CBI office in New Delhi.
"Seven months have passed and our daughter is yet to get justice. We have knocked every possible door to seek justice for her. We will not give up our fight. The CBI has said in the court that they are not filing any charge sheet now. Eventually, two accused persons were released on bail. I have put my plea before the court again," the father said.
The father, who has also sent an email to PM Modi, said that he had received a reply from his office. "I will also meet my lawyer at the Supreme Court," he added.
