Dhakuria case: Cops get back snatched chain from goldsmith

Kolkata: The Kolkata Police detective department, which has already arrested the three men, who had snatched a gold chain from a Dhakuria resident, Piyali De Roy (57), near her home on Saturday evening, has recovered the stolen item.
"The chain has been seized from a goldsmith's shop, Naktala Jewellery House, on NSC Bose Road at Netaji Nagar. The shop owner has been arrested. The bike used by the snatchers for the crime has been seized from a garage near Champahati station," said joint CP (crime & traffic) Rupesh Kumar.
The three accused, Amit Mondal and brothers Bapi and Bappa Sarkar, were earlier picked up from Gosaba. The three had criminal records in south and central Kolkata, police said. "The snatching case registered at the Garfa police station on Feb 22 has been solved," said Kumar.
