Howrah: Humiliated by a video showing her being harassed by neighbours, that went viral on social media, a woman killed herself on Saturday night in Howrah.
According to cops and locals, the woman's husband works in another state. Some neighbours said she was involved in an extramarital affair. A few days ago, some locals caught a man at her house at night. It is alleged that some of them tied the duo to an electric pole and beat them up. Photos and videos of the incident were uploaded on social media.
Unable to bear the humiliation, she killed herself. Cops were informed when her body was found at home. The police have started an unnatural death case.
