12 Kolkata: The body of Joydeep Chowdhury, the young researcher from Nimta in north Dum Dum, arrived at his house on Sunday, nearly 20 days after his death. Chowdhury was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his hostel in Abu Dhabi on Feb 18 while studying in Saudi Arabia.
As soon as Chowdhury's body reached his Nimta's Mandirpara home, his father, Ratan Kumar Chowdhury, a former BSNL official, and mother, Rupa Chowdhury, a retired postal department official, broke down on their son's coffin. The relatives, neighbours, and friends of Chowdhury also mourned the 32-year-old bright researcher's death.
The bereaved parents demanded a thorough probe into their son's unnatural death and have sought the help of the West Bengal and Central govt.
