Wow! Momo eyes Rs 600 crore revenue from FMCG biz with new launch

123 Kolkata: Wow! Momo, one of the leading homegrown QSR food chains, has set a revenue target of Rs 600 crore from its FMCG business in the next 5 years.
The group recently entered the FMCG biz with frozen momos. Now, it is introducing cuppa noodles. The FMCG business is now under Wow! Momo Sales, a subsidiary of Wow! Momo Foods.
Sagar Daryani, group CEO and founder, told TOI that frozen momo was already doing good business at a run rate of Rs 5 crore per month. "Frozen Momo is already a Rs 60 crore business," he said. Daryani added that only cuppa noodles would be a Rs 100 crore business in the next 2 years.
The group is launching 5 Desi Asian ranges of cup noodles in vegetarian and non-vegetarian flavours, right from thukpa from Tibet, khao suey from Burma, Korean noodles, manchurian and chilli chicken, and India's most loved Chinese bhel. It would be available across all quick commerce and online channels, along with all leading modern trades across 200+ towns and cities.
Wow! Noodles has tied up with leading quick commerce platforms like Instamart, Zepto, Blinkit, BigBasket, Flipkart Minutes and D Mart Ready, along with biggies like Reliance, More Retail, Spencer's, Spar and Ratnadeep, among others. Additionally, the brand has established a robust presence in 10,000+ general trade stores across 200+ towns and cities.
"At Wow! Momo Foods, innovation is in our DNA. With Wow! Noodles, we are disrupting the cup noodles category by bringing the perfect blend of desi and Asian flavours in a format that is both convenient and exciting. As we continue to expand our FMCG footprint, this launch marks a significant step towards making Wow! Momo a household name beyond QSR," Daryani said.
Wow! Momo, founded in 2008, has QSR brands like Wow! Momo, Wow! China, Wow! Chicken and Wow! Kulfi. It has 700+ outlets in 60+ cities. Wow! Noodles has also tied up for inflight menus of Akasa Air, Air India Express and SpiceJet.
