Kolkata: The 3-year-old girl, who was abducted from Howrah station on March 5 by traffickers, was rescued from an area near Rajasthan's Ranthambore National Park and reunited with her mother. The Howrah GRP made the recovery with the help of multiple agencies. After the child went missing while she was waiting with her mother to board a train to Dhaniakhali, GRP tracked the suspects' movement from Howrah to Uluberia.
On Tuesday, cops arrested Sahanara Begum, leading to the subsequent arrest of Mafuja Bibi. Their interrogation revealed the child had possibly been taken to Alwar. A seven-member GRP team, accompanied by the child's mother, flew to Jaipur. Working with Rajasthan Police, they rescued the child and arrested the third suspect, Soraj Kanjar. tnn
