Kolkata: Traffic restrictions will be implemented around Eden Gardens and the Maidan area in Kolkata during upcoming IPL cricket matches starting this Saturday, Lalbazar stated on Monday.
The Kolkata Police Traffic Department announced that vehicles will be restricted around Victoria Memorial Hall, including portions of AJC Bose Road, Hospital Road, Queensway, Cathedral Road, Casuarina Avenue, and Lovers Lane.
Several key roads, including Kshudiram Bose Road, North Brooke Avenue, and Gostha Pal Sarani, will be completely closed to all vehicles during match days. High Court-bound vehicles will be redirected to alternate routes via Esplanade Row West.
The police have also implemented parking prohibitions on major roads, including Gostha Pal Sarani, Rani Rashmoni Avenue, Old Court House Street, and Indira Gandhi Sarani. No parking facilities will be available for taxis and private buses around Eden Gardens during the match days.
