Kolkata: The Calcutta HC on Thursday advised West Bengal Transport Corporation to run shuttle bus services between Sibpur and Ramkrishnapur ghats till the two jetties were operational after repair.
A division bench of CJ T S Sivagnanam and Justice Chaitali Chatterjee (Das) passed the order in response to a PIL, saying the closing down of the ghats inconvenienced people from the Howrah end, coming to the state secretariat and the court.
The HC advised WBTC to run shuttle services with extra buses, disposing of the PIL. —Subrata Chattoraj
