• Cops question labourers after school molestation plaint

  • Kolkata: Cops probing the molestation complaint at a Hatibagan girls' school questioned eight labourers employed at the site. They are also searching for three others who have been missing since the complaint was lodged on Thursday. None was arrested till Friday.

    On Friday, school authorities met with the parents to discuss their demands. It was decided that security on the school premises would be strengthened.

    Headmistress Srabonti Biswas said CCTV cameras may be increased based on approval from the managing committee. Other demands included more lights, conducting renovation during vacations, and increasing attendants for kids. School authorities said these matters would be presented to the managing committee for approval on Saturday. Biswas said the school would reopen on Monday.
