123 Malda: Three people were killed in as their bike collided head-on with a truck on NH 12 at Baishnabnagar early on Sunday.
Sabir Alam (22), a migrant labourer, was returning home to his village in Meherpur under Mothabari police station from Kerala for Eid. On Sunday morning, he reached Farakka station. Two of his friends from the village, Ramjan Sk (22) and Maman Sk (24), went to the station to receive Sabir. The three were returning home on a motorcycle, without any helmets.
Locals informed the cops, who arrived at the scene and found all three dead.
The truck and the bike were seized, and the bodies were sent to Malda Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
