12 Kolkata: Calcutta High Court has extended the conditional bail of Sujay Krishna Bhadra, an accused in the school appointments case, till the end of April. A division bench of justices Arijit Banerjee and Apurba Sinha Ray passed the order on Monday because of Bhadra's ill health.
After Bhadra's counsel, Sabyasachi Chatterjee, submitted his client's health reports, the bench allowed him to be taken to a private hospital in Kolkata for a medical check-up on Tuesday.
Chatterjee also complained to the court that the central forces on duty at his client's residence were using Bhadra's personal toilet and running the air-conditioner for 24 hours. HC directed the central forces to remain posted at the gate of the residence and use the toilet on the ground floor.
