Luxmi Tea awarded in 2 categories at World Tea Expo

Kolkata: Luxmi Tea's Attabarie Tea from Assam and Silverback's Gisovu Tea from Rwanda, a subsidiary of Luxmi Tea, have been awarded at the prestigious World Tea Expo 2025 in Las Vegas. In the World Tea Category 2025 awards, Attabarie won in the black CTC category, while Gisovu Tea won in the white tea category. Luxmi Tea also owns the iconic Makaibari Tea Estate.
Rudra Chatterjee, MD of Luxmi Tea and chairman of Silverback Tea, Rwanda, said this award was considered the Oscar of the tea industry. "We aim to produce good tea from the world's best regions: flavourful Darjeeling tea from Makaibari, the strong Assam tea from Attabarie, and the bright Rwandan teas from Gisovu."
Chairman of Luxmi Tea, Dipankar Chatterjee, said, "Luxmi Tea has evolved its plantation practices in pruning, plucking, and manufacturing to produce high-quality teas consistently. I congratulate the managers and workers who have worked hard to achieve this standard."
