Anwar Shah Rd locals, cops help YouTuber get back lost iPhone

Kolkata: A YouTuber and social media influencer has hailed the "spirit of the city" for helping him get back an iPhone he lost while riding from Jadavpur, through Price Anwar Shah Road, to Netaji Nagar on Sunday night.
Kunal Bose took to FB to share his experience near Navina Cinema, where several local youths returned his phone. Kolkata Police shared the post on its page. "I was returning home on my two-wheeler from Jadavpur. Midway, I reached into my pocket and realised my new iPhone was missing. I called the number several times from my other phone but it kept ringing and then went to voicemail. I searched the road a couple of times. Unable to find it, I went to Netaji Nagar PS around midnight and filed a general diary. Cops provided me with the mobile tower location and sent a constable with me to retrieve it. Meanwhile, I managed to contact the people who found the phone, who assured me they would return it in exchange for some sweets," Bose said.
"On reaching there, seven-eight youths returned my phone. Finding such good people is a rare occurrence these days," he said.
"Such incidents of civic responsibility are heartening to see," said an officer.
