Kolkata: The maximum temperature dipped by close to two notches on Monday. Despite the drop, the rising humidity level continued to make the weather uncomfortable in the city. With no significant rain expected for now, the Met office does not expect any marked change in the weather.
From 36.2° Celsius on Sunday, the maximum temperature slipped to 34.6° Celsius on Monday. However, the minimum relative humidity, rose to 50% from 28% the previous day.
According to Met officials, though there is a possibility of isolated thundershowers in the city, the chances are on the slimmer side. Even if it rains, the amount will not be enough to make much of a difference. —Sumati Yengkhom
