Kolkata: The Integrated Salary Management System (ISMS) portal, the online bill generation system, started functioning from Wednesday afternoon. No changes were made by the state govt even after the Supreme Court order. However, those who lost their jobs are confused about accepting their salaries, as the court terminated them with immediate effect.
Usually, the last date for generating the monthly salary is the 10th of every month. However, this time, the portal was closed till Wednesday afternoon. Education department officials indicated that the 4% DA hike resulted in this delay.
The employee list for each school remains the same even after the court order.
Deprived Teachers' Association convener Mehebub Mandal said, "We need to know if this would create any legal trouble in future because there was no written communication from the state govt regarding this."
State education minister Bratya Basu said, "We moved to the SC for clarification on it. Necessary steps will be taken following advice from lawyers."
