Close call for ISF legislator Naushad Siddiqui as speeding truck rams his SUV in West Bengal

HOWRAH: ISF legislator Naushad Siddiqui had a close call when a speeding truck dashed into the vehicle he was travelling in. The incident took place around 11 pm on Friday.
According to Howrah City Police officials, Naushad Siddiqui was travelling with several companions in an SUV from Kolkata to Kolaghat on Friday night. The collision occurred while their vehicle was stationary at a traffic signal at the Ankurhati crossing on National Highway 16, resulting in substantial damage to one side of the car.
Local residents and traffic police promptly responded to assist Naushad and his fellow passengers, with officers from Domjur station arriving shortly after. Though the truck initially fled the scene, law enforcement later succeeded in capturing both the vehicle and its driver after examining CCTV footage.
Police officials confirmed that Naushad and his companions were fortunate to escape serious harm. They subsequently resumed their journey in an alternative vehicle provided by the police — Rupak16, resulting in substantial damage to one side of the car.
