  • NEW DELHI: West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose will visit Murshidabad district on Friday, days after clashes erupted between two groups, Raj Bhawan officials said.

    Raj Bhawan officials indicated that Bose would visit victims of the violence, evaluate the situation on ground, and conduct meetings with district officials and law enforcement personnel.

    "The governor will leave for Murshidabad tonight and will visit the areas tomorrow," a Raj Bhawan official said.

    The violent clashes last week resulted in three fatalities, numerous injuries, and destruction of properties through arson, leading to substantial deployment of police forces, including the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and central forces in the region.
