  • Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Thursday allowed social organisation Khola Hawa to visit nine places at Shamsherganj as well as areas in Suti and Dhuliyan from Saturday to distribute relief to those affected by the violence in Murshidabad.

The court restrained the petitioner from making any hate or political speech during relief distribution. "There should be no political trouble in the garb of the court order," Justice Amrita Sinha said.

The petitioner had moved court after the state administration didn't respond to the plea of relief distribution made on April 15 to the Murshidabad DM and the Jangipur SP and SDPO.

In view of prohibitory orders, Justice Sinha directed the petitioner to form "small teams" comprising not more than three persons each.
