Kolkata: An elderly woman, residing at the ESI quarters in Salt Lake, filed a complaint of attempted murder and assault against her son and daughter-in-law.
She alleged that they attempted to strangle her.
According to the complainant, she was attacked ‘without any reason' twice — during the early hours of Monday and on Saturday. Cops have started an investigation into the matter. The couple had already been questioned by the cops.
A case pertaining to BNS sections related to wrongful restraint, grievous assault, and attempted murder has been lodged.
Cops are awaiting the medical examination reports to ascertain the extent and nature of the injuries. tnn
