At 1.6L customers, Jio holds 80% of Kol’s 5G FWA mkt

Kolkata: Reliance Jio leads the 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) segment with over 80% subscriber market share in the city, subscription data released by TRAI has revealed.
According to TRAI, Jio AirFiber led the market with 1.6 lakh customers, while Airtel came in second with 39,000 subscribers in the city in Feb. The city's total 5G FWA customer base stands at 2 lakh.

TRAI's report states that Jio, with 7 lakh subscribers in the wireline segment nationally, holds a 55% market share, while its share in the wireless mobile segment stands at 47.5%. Jio AirFiber has over 84% of the subscriber market share in the 5G FWA segment across India. tnn
