• West Bengal higher secondary exam results to be announced on May 7

  • The West Bengal Council Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) announced that the Higher Secondary examination results for 2025 will be declared on May 7.
    According to a press release, the WBCHSE will announce the results at a press conference at 12.30 pm at Vidyasagar Bhavan, the Council’s headquarters in Salt Lake.

    The students will be able to view and download the results from various websites and apps, including https://result.wb.gov.in, https://results.digilocker.gov.in, and the WBCHSE Results app, which will be available on the Google Play store after 2 pm on the same day.

    For hard copies of the marksheet and pass certificates, students will have to wait another day. They will be distributed to schools on May 8 from 10 am onwards at 55 distribution centres. The WBCHSE has instructed school authorities to ensure the distribution of these documents to students on the same day.

    Meanwhile, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has officially announced that the results of the Madhyamik Pariksha (Secondary Examination) 2025 will be announced on May 2 at 9 am. The results will be announced through a press conference by the President of the Ad-hoc Committee, WBBSE. As per the circular, students will be able to access their results from 9.45 am onwards on May 2 via multiple official websites and mobile applications. Furthermore, schools will be able to collect marksheets and certificates from their respective camp offices of the Board from May 2 at 10 am.

    This year, around 509,000 students appeared for the higher secondary exams across 2,089 exam centres. The results will come 50 days after the completion of the examinations, which began on March 3 and concluded on March 18. This was also the final HS examination under the annual exam system, with next batches to follow a semester-based system starting from the academic year of 2025-2026.

    Also, according to an official of the WBBSE, around 9.84 lakh students appeared for the secondary exams.
